How it Works

We take a phased approach to each and every one of our projects. This allows us to efficiently manage and execute each stage of a project. A structured process ensures that all aspects of the project are thoroughly considered and executed. Resulting in a well-coordinated and cohesive design.

It’s also worth noting that each and every project is unique and we adapt these to suit the needs of different timelines and scopes. E-Design service for example, takes a more condensed approach while our Full Service Design might have additional phases.

Below is an outline of each of these to give you an understanding of our process:

1. 30 Minute Discovery Call

A complimentary 30 minute call to get to know you and your project. This is an opportunity for us to get an idea of what the project might entail and how we can help!

You will receive a short questionnaire ahead of this so we can prepare ahead of the session.

2. On Site Consultation

The on site consultation is where we get a full view of the property and get a real feel for the space and its potential.

We will walk through the rooms and talk through your vision for the space and we can discuss any initial ideas to get a feel for the direction we are going in.  This is where we also define our scope so we can accurately price our services for the project.

In addition to this we will also conduct a full site measure for us to draw up our plans and begin the journey of layouts for each room. This visit can last upwards of 2 hours depending on the size of the project.

3. Concept Design

Concept design is the ideation stage of a project. It is where we pull together a solid vision for the project and includes mood boards, colour schemes, fixtures, finishes and layouts.

By the end of this stage you should be clear on the direction each room is going in and be ready to sign this off for us to move on the detailed design.

4. Detailed Design

Detailed design is where the bulk of the design work is carried out.

We get into the finer details of each and every aspect of the project during this phase. You can expect for there to be several design meetings with certain sign offs required to keep everything on track.

We finalise all of the furniture layouts, electrical plans, lighting plans, detailed joinery drawings and all FF&E, fixtures and finish schedules.

5. Coordination Phase

During this phase we will work closely with team on site to implement the approved design. This involves regular site vists and close communication with all parties to ensure things are progressing smoothly and any and all queries are resolved promptly.

In tandem with the works on site we will be working on the procurement for all the FF&E. Ensuring all orders are placed and fulfilled within the required timeline.

6. Installation & Project Handover

Upon completion of the building works we move to installation. Here we work with a team to install all the approved FF&E and styling items to really bring the space to life.

We conduct a thorough inspection of the completed project to ensure it meets the design specifications and address any snagging items.

We then hand over the finished space for you to enjoy!

FAQs

  • For E-Design you can expect to receive your design pack within 2 weeks of your consultation call.

When it comes to large scale projects there is no one size fits all answer to this question. These things take time and more often than not they take longer than expected.

A full home refurbishment can run anywhere between 6-12 months depending on the scope of the works. Projects that are less involved and focus on the decoration rather than many structural changes can expect to take 4-6 months.

  • Collaborating with an interior designer offers several advantages, including access to a wealth of experience and expertise, the creation of visually harmonious spaces through artful direction, and the ability to navigate complex decisions while making the most of supplier knowledge and discounts. Moreover, an interior designer contributes to cost-effective results, minimises stress through meticulous planning, and provides tailored solutions to meet individual project needs, ultimately ensuring a curated and meaningful design outcome.

  • The sooner the better! Ideally, your interior designer works in tandem with your architect to plan the interior layouts of your space along with any adjustments required depending on different finish options. If the project doesn’t require an architect then it’s still advisable to engage your interior designer well in advance of any construction. Exceptions do arise, but for the best outcome, plan ahead.
